Abstract


Many high school students are now English is the most difficult subjects . English reading is the hardest part of the English disciplines . Blood part of the students lack interest in learning , and thus refuse to learn English . While some students work very hard , but learning ineffective results difficult to raise . The entrance , the students' English scores are generally not high . We urgently need to change this situation , they need confidence , and skills to master English reading , develop good English learning habits , exercise self-learning ability . This paper studies Heyang read the status quo. Through both at home and abroad to read the review of the theory , formulated a questionnaire survey Heyang reading teaching situation . Of English reading first from the perspective of psychology, cognitive science , and psycholinguistics explained then stated a number of domestic and international theory of reading : reading model of top-down , bottom-up reading mode , interactive read mode and schema theory . According to the Heyang the specific situation , the authors have developed three survey questionnaire the Heyang secondary school teachers and students characteristics , such as student motivation , habits, and methods of investigation . Through the collection and analysis of the survey data , the authors conclude Heyang secondary school English reading difficulties and gives some to improve reading recommendations : ( 1) using a different method to teach reading materials of different stylistic . (2 ) learning more vocabulary and cultural background (3) to develop students' initiative . ( 4 ) focus on the use of reading skills , improve your reading speed . ( 5 ) to form a good reading of the character .
