Abstract


Insurance loss adjusters, insurance brokers, together with insurance agents , constitute a complete insurance intermediary market. The insurance loss adjusting system here refers to the principles and norms which restrict the conducts of the insurance loss adjusters in the insurance market. A complete insurance loss adjusting system will lead to healthy development of the insurance loss adjusting industry. Since 2000, the insurance loss adjusting industry has developed rapidly in China. But the construction of the insurance loss adjusting system has lagged far behind the development of the insurance loss adjusting market. The insurance loss adjusting system in China can not effectively restraint and motivate the performances of the insurance loss adjusters.In this thesis ,we take advantage of the hypothesis of economic man, theory of institutional change, the system transplantation theory from the New Institutional Economics, making a in-depth analysis on the environments, principles and norms and the mechanisms of the implementation of the insurance loss adjusting system in China. Meanwhile, basing on the analysis of the advanced systems in the world, we put forward a more comprehensive arrangement for the insurance loss adjusting system in China.This article is divided into seven parts: The introduction introduces the background ,purpose ,present state, existing problems of the research on the insurance loss adjusting system in China; as well as the research framework, innovation, research methods and limitation of this thesis. Chapter one is the overview of the insurance loss adjuster and the system. Chapter two outlines the basic concepts and principles of New Institutional Economics, as well as their theoretical value for the study of the insurance loss adjusting system in China . Chapter three is the introduction and analysis of the insurance loss adjusting system in some developed countries and areas. Chapter four is the introduction and analysis of the present insurance loss adjusting system in China. Chapter five is devoted to the choices of the mode for the insurance loss adjusting system innovation in China. The sixth chapter is about the detailed innovation arrangements for the insurance loss adjusting system in China.
