Abstract


With China's accession to the WTO, economic globalization, the rapid development of the increasing demands for the liberalization of international trade, tariffs and traditional non-tariff barriers are gradually reduce or weaken, become the main international trade barriers and technical barriers to trade, by Europe and the United States other developed countries to take advantage of the new tools of the trade protection. Ceramic products as China's traditional export products, a long history of its exports. Exports of ceramic products in China reached 50 billion U.S. dollars in 2005, and has increased year by year trend. In recent years, this ceramic goods on behalf of the Chinese characteristics, its export is also faced with the test of the world on Technical Barriers to Trade. Thus, the system of technical barriers to trade and its impact on China's exports of ceramic products, has a very urgent practical significance. How to deal with technical barriers to trade become particularly important in the study of China's international trade affairs, which is also the majority of our ceramic enterprises urgently need to address export bottlenecks. This paper first introduces an overview of the technical barriers to trade, including its meaning, content, and its characteristics. Calmly analyze the causes and mechanisms of formation; through a combination of quantitative and qualitative analysis of the economic effects caused by the technical barriers to trade. Countries on Technical Barriers to Trade focused analysis of the impact on China's exports of ceramic products trade; using a combination of empirical and normative analysis depth analysis of the actual case of export of ceramic products in China encountered technical barriers to trade issues; and corresponding response is given for each case. Finally, from the macro, industry and enterprises to put forward specific measures to deal with technical barriers to trade. Through comprehensive analysis, the final conclusion: the technical barriers to trade with the European Union in response to the call of the WTO in 2005 after the first, in order to fulfill the commitments made in the Uruguay Round negotiations to cancel the import quota restrictions ceramic products, along Instead, encountered the biggest problem in China's exports of ceramic products, caused by the bottleneck of China's exports of ceramic products. Due to the end of the technical content of our ceramic products, survival has always been a price advantage in the international market. With specific ceramic products, technical barriers to trade continue to emerge, this advantage is diminishing. In this crucial moment in relation to the export trade in the rise and fall of China's ceramic industry, China should be through the joint efforts of the macro, industry and enterprise, to respond to the challenges of the Technical Barriers to Trade on China's ceramic industry, China's ceramic industry of the traditional export commodities revival.
