Abstract

Folk traditional physical items possess consequence in the physical education of colleges and universities.If a good natinal folk physical sport can be set up in colleges and universities,it can feform and innovate the traditinal physical education precis in colleges and universities,the old teaching material,the old teaching forms and the bald teaching contents,enrich the physical connotation of colleges and universities and show the physical feature and regional characteristics of colleges and universities in minority area.Shuttlecock is a popular and long history folk traditinal sport.It possesses obvious character of craft,entertainment and the function of building health.Plenty of investigation and research show that kicking shuttlecock is a good kind of sport to keep health.Because it is economic and practical,it is a good kind of sport that people can involve for life.Because it only needs simple facility,it should be generalized and set up actively in colleges and universities.NingXia is a less developing minority area.Here,all of colleges and universities lack physical outlay,good physical facility,colorful course setting and increasingly advanced traditional sport.In this case,setting up shuttlecock as an elective course accords with the educational reformation of colleges and universities and meet the requirement of the characteristics of economy and area of NingXia.It combines traditinal sport’s teaching with the practical activities of university students.It is better to serve the building health movement of NingXia people.Setting five higher education schools as the subject of research and combining the present situation of colleges and universites through reviewing literatures, investigating by questionnaire,interviewing experts and the reviewing on the spot, the present dissertation analyses the development of the sport kicking shuttlecock,the character of shuttlecock,the will that the freshman and sophormore for the elective course shuttlecock,the will of leaders and teachers,the idea of experts,the quality of physical teachers,the facility palestra and demonstrate that it is feasible for higher education schools of NingXia to set up shuttlecock as an elective course in colleges and universities.It also probes and interviews some gymnasts,physical teachers and students of NingXia in teaching aims,teaching contents,the actualizing ways of teaching contents,the time arrangement in teaching and assess measure and finally complete the course design of elective cource shuttlecock.The following the conclusion drawn from the study and some enlightment as well:(1) This sport meet the educational requirement of colleges and universities of NingXia with its own value,character and function.It has strong characteristics of building health,entertainment,palate and viewing and admiring.It needs less ground, less cost and simple facility.So It is a suitale kind of traditional sport which can be set up in colleges and universities in NingXia.(2)Among theuniversitystudents investigated,80.2%of them hope that shuttlecock can be set as an elective course.There are 85,.7%of experts and teachers hold that shuttlecock should be set as an elective course.This shows that it is necessary to set shuttlecock as an elective course in colleges and universities of NingXia.(3) It is feasible to use the existing ground resource reasonably,cultivate the equality of teachers increasingly,edit or buy the relative teaching material of setting up this sport,and set up shuttlecock as an elective cource.So shuttlecock should be brought into the plan of physical education as soon as possible.(4) Through investigating some experts,physical teachers and university students,the Dissertation analyses the five facets in setting shuttlecock as an elective course,neatens and deal with the statistical data,set down the design for the colleges and universities of NingXia to set up shuttlecock as an elective course.And finally it provides important theoretical references for the opening of the new course as soon as possible.
