Abstract

Calcium peroxide is a new inorganic ,fine chemical product with various functions. It is widely used as activity oxygen source in chemistry, agriculture, fisheries, environmental protection, food and medical. But during the production of it,high purity is difficult to achieve. The projict aims to explore the technology to obtain the high purity Calcium peroxide by using the CaCl2,Ca(OH)2 and H2O2 to synthesize it at room temperature.Considering the feeding methods, materials ratio, feeding time, reaction time, concentration of hydrogen peroxide, and other factors which affect the reaction, the single-factor experiments have been carried out to seek the best materials prescription and process parameters. During the process of preparation for Calcium peroxide, the Hydrogen peroxide will be catalyzed to decompose because of the transition metal ions. This leads to the law concertration of Hydrogen peroxide, then gives a negative effect on the purity and yield of the product. So the experiments researched the the impact of Fe3+, Mg2+ and pH value on the stability of hydrogen peroxide as well as explored Stabilizer’fuction in preparation of Calcium peroxide. Then by simulating the industrial production , adding iron ion into the reaction system of preparation, and stability treatments, the Calcium peroxide was obstained. The result of the experiments shows:As the concertration of Fe3+ and Mg2+ raises, the ability of destorying hydrogen peroxide’s stablity raises as well, and the Fe3+ has a greater impact than Mg2+. The method of using precipitation or complexing is the key meaure to reduce the transition metal ion concentration in the reaction system.Hydrogen peroxide has a better stability in the range of pH 4 to 8.The Experiments were carried out under such condition: the molar ratio of CaCl2, Ca(OH)2 and H2O2 is 0.4:0.6:1, Feeding time is 6 min, the reaction time is 18 min, aging time is 10min, drying temperature is 110℃, drying time is 1~1.5h.The purity of calcium-peroxide is 81.70 percent.
