Abstract


Based on studies of Li Wenjun’s translations and referred to Even-Zohar’s Polysystem Theory, this thesis intends to outline Li Wenjun’s translation technique and strategies.This thesis is divided into five parts. Part one introduces a brief depiction of translators studies in China, with an aim of revealing the academic value of this thesis. Chapter one mainly presents the influence of society, culture, family and education to Li Wenjun’s translation. The second chapter gives a panoramic view of Li Wenjun’s career path, including learning translation theories and skills from famous translators(1950-1979),the acme of Li Wenjun’s translations (1980-1999),and the after-acme (2000- ).Chapter three summarizes Li Wenjun’s translation theories, and features. The last part serves as the conclusion of this thesis.Data is scanty while the author was conducting this research. Therefore, the author also proposes to provide more evidence for researches on Translated Literature and Translators Studies, and tries to conclude some experience of being a successful translator to assist young people.
