Abstract


Children's literature as a branch of literature, both general literary characteristics, its own significant features. This is because the children have their special characteristics of cognitive, linguistic characteristics, characteristics of psychological development. Whether domestic or foreign literary works for children, are important to children's spiritual food. China has introduced many outstanding works of children's literature, some of them repeatedly retranslate published, there are many new works is the introduction of the issue, a lot of good Sir, welcomed by the majority of readers of children. However in today's domestic and theoretical study of children's literature translation is relatively backward, which is evident from some translation core magazine published article. It can be said that the translation of children's literature research seems to have been to get out of the limitations of adult literary translation of research ideas. This paper attempts to use functional theory to the practice of children's literature translation, to prove that the function has a guiding role in the theory of Children's Literature in Translation Studies. In the field of children's literature, based on the principle of children has been recognized, the paper outlines some of the recent introduction of the issue of children's picture books to prove this point of view. Translation of children's literature is the re-creation of children's literature, children's literature translation to be child-based translation, which determines the translation of children's literature must take into account the characteristics of children in the choice of vocabulary, sentence selection and processing of the cultural differences to consider to their psychological characteristics, cognitive characteristics. Functional theory for Translation Studies has opened up a new perspective the teleological point out that throughout the translation process, including the choice of translation methods and translation strategies, by the act of translation required to achieve the purpose of the decision. Functional theory to target readers placed in an important position to the original author, happens to coincide with the children based on the. Comparative analysis from the point of view of the functional theory translation differences for different translation purposes, and certainly a different translation strategies taken by different translators in order to achieve their purpose of the translation and translation methods reasonable. Function theoretical point of view, can not be solely judged to translate the pros and cons of standardized and unified standards, but should be the purpose of the translation, the target audience is included judge the scope from a wider perspective to judge the merits of the translation. From a comparative study of three Chinese translation of \Under the framework of the functional theory, combined with the children's own characteristics and the characteristics of children's literature, starting from the choice of vocabulary, sentence selection and cultural differences of the three translations deal with three aspects to analyze the differences between them. The analysis concluded that, because the purpose of translating, making them adopt strategies conducive to the realization of their own translation purposes, resulting in three different styles of Chinese translation was different audience widely accepted.
