Abstract


Characteristics of the mobile communications transmission network is gradually developed towards all-IP core network and access network part of the current third-generation mobile communications has introduced IP transport , and therefore must enhance its IP transport operation in the construction of 3G network , maintenance and management functions. This article is written stream control transmission protocol (Stream Control Transmission Protocol, SCTP) widely used in IP communications network management system design project in the context of . The paper first analyzes the SIGTRAN (Signaling Transport, Signaling Transport ) protocol stack architecture , several common adaptation layer protocol model and its features , and focus on the characteristics of the SCTP ??protocol and the main function of the realization of the principle . Second SIGTRAN SCTP management system design goals (SIGTRAN SCTP Management, SSM) SSM as an independent level architecture and according to the target within the SIGTRAN protocol stack , thus facilitating the management of the the SCTP ??upper user data transmission . Next discusses the SSM module , described in detail the function of each module and the SSM overall software structure , key data area and interface primitives were highlighted . Finally, analysis of the realization of the principle of each module of SSM : SSM layer re- designed the coupling state machine , used to simplify the description of the SCTP ??layer coupled state ; introducing data transmission flow control mechanism used to reduce the loss of user data ; data on SCTP transmission and running status information classification statistics , and coupled dynamic operation , enhance the SCTP OAM (Operation Administration and maintenance, operation management and maintenance ) functions ; provides a comprehensive configuration management capabilities , coupled data configuration, delete, and modify operations . The design of SCTP ??association runs a comprehensive monitoring by OMC (Operation and Maintenance Center, Operation and Maintenance Center ) background to facilitate the realization of the coupling operation and information inquiries . Stress tests on the the modules function of authentication and data transmission , the functionality and performance of the SSM requirements , and has been used in ZTE 's 3G network equipment .
