Abstract


Lin Yutang wrote English novel Moment in Peking , described the the ambitious historical background since the Boxer Rebellion to the Sino-Japanese War in full swing under the idea of any man in the city of Beijing where three family , life and love . The good quality of the novel has created a lot of lifelike characters with Chinese characteristics and on behalf of significance , so that more Westerners to keep abreast of the heroic Chinese people , love life , honesty and goodness , and three times to get the nomination of the Nobel Prize for Literature . This paper argues that the addition to Lin Yutang 's beautiful writing and deep ideological heritage , the novel flexible use of different narrative perspectives , the most important novels of the stylistic elements to complete an across four generations , vertical and horizontal at home and abroad , excellent English , encompassing novel hundred people . Therefore , the judgment of any one of the novel translated to examine the spread of its cultural connotation , but also the need to examine the translator is how to deal with the key concepts of the original narrative point of view . Of the binding characteristics of the novel , as well as a narrative perspective , the narrative point of view is divided into four main categories : Perception , cognitive perspective, spatial and temporal perspectives and session perspective . This article examines one by one Two Chinese treatment of four different narrative perspective , the translator basis for translation purposes , choose to keep or change the perspective of the original , or to create a new perspective . The innovation of this paper is that the combination the research narrative point of view in translation theory and novel theory to analyze this classic novel Two Chinese . At the same time , due to the use of a new analytical framework , cited a unique example in the novel . Finally , the article attempts to put forward a different translation strategies to deal with different perspectives type , and proposed three main principles : First, it is necessary to maximize the retention of the original perspective ; Second, the translator of the newly created text and real-world perspective to meet the basic logic ; Third, to convey the author 's intention of writing to maximize and close to the characters , and asked readers to accept .
