Abstract


The major content of this paper is to design a Chinese lesson plan based on the Task Based Language Teaching(TBLT). The object of this paper is to strengthen the speaking ability of students and improve the communication skill.Most Chinese classes at schools in Korea are dependent on teaching by rote because of the lack of Chinese language classes per week, the limit of a classroom environment and the amount of the excessive learning. Because of above reasons, most students actually have little opportunities to speak in class except for some students who can speak in Chinese fluently. Therefore, in order to improve the communication skills of students, it is necessary to increase their speaking opportunities through the introduction of new teaching methods.In other countries, it has already been a long time since Task Based Language Teaching became a main conversation topic. Besides, TBLT has many merits because students can have more opportunities to speak using the language that they want to learn in class compared to traditional teaching methods.So-called Task Based Language Teaching is that a teacher provides learning tasks to students and students participate actively in the learning process. As a result, the learning objectives are achieved. Students can improve their communication ability naturally by completing the task. At the same time, they can increase the initiative and interest in Chinese subject. Judging from these, it is necessary to introduce Task Based Language Teaching as the teaching method of Chinese.I‘m sure that Task Based Language Teaching is effective to develop communication skill so I analyzed the tasks of the 13 text books of Chinese which are currently being published and the limit of activity tasks of each text book.I designed the practical lesson plans of Task Based Language Teaching based on the Chinese textbook of publisher Nexus Chinese.Finally, I hope that this study could be helped to improve students’ communication skills of Chinese.
