Abstract


Jiang Kui,a celebrated Ci verse writer,was skilled in both Ci verse and poems in the South Song Dynasty. So popular he was in the people ,who were living with him in the same time and after his time. Although it has been historically a great variety of researchers and research works of Jiang Kui’s lyrics, they are always concerned about the content and artistic practices or skill, and less about imagoes to expand at closer range.So this article intends to grasp these images’ function which is used to convey feeling and ideas at the angle of the characteristics, way of handling and color of those images.The imagoes are divided into four groups in Jiang Kui’s lyrics and poetry: the first class is about yearning between lovers and parting from each other; the second about aloof and proud character; the third about leisurely and comfortable sentiment;the forth about other things. Through the analysis of the characteristics of these images length by length, we can learn that regardless of whether the cold fragrance tone,the declining and misted predicament or the manner of using energetic pen to describe affectionateness,they are added to represent the unique character and emotion of the writer.At the same time, the author also analyzes the similarities and differences of the distribution and the feature in the lyrics and poetry’ s images.We could summarize that, on the basis of the former context of a discussion of problems, the formation of those chilly images has something to do with some causes,including the writer’s time backgroud, his individuality and esthetic pursuit and so on.
