Abstract


Residual ridge resorption caused by lower alveolar ridge height , width is reduced , as the late denture restoration has brought many difficulties and affect the patient's appearance and health. Task Force preliminary experimental results show that a single drug-loaded biological scaffold material limitations , in this experimental study funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China ( project number: 30872912 ) , explore calcium phosphate cement [calcium phosphate cements, CPC] / polylactic acid - glycolic acid polymer [poly (lactide-co-glycolide), PLGA] that CPC / PLGA as a carrier of the superiority of simvastatin observed containing simvastatin / PLGA / CPC applied to rats remaining teeth after tooth extraction slot crest bone repair effects and its prevention residual ridge resorption and experimental basis for clinical application basis . In this study, rats were first established residual ridge resorption in animal models , in vitro using the freeze-dried preparation containing solvent evaporation technique simvastatin / CPC / PLGA scaffolds containing drug , used Wistar rats mandibular incisor tooth extraction , the By gross observation , imaging and histological methods such as , for containing simvastatin / CPC / PLGA composite scaffold for the remaining alveolar bone repair comprehensive evaluation of the impact of multi-faceted . The results showed that , CPC / PLGA as a superior single PLGA composite scaffold materials locally within the extraction socket simvastatin can promote osteogenesis , accelerate and improve the speed of new bone formation and quality . The innovation of this study is that for the first time using a variety of detection methods, in vivo , in vitro evaluation contains simvastatin / PLGA / CPC promote tooth extraction bone repair, in order to further control residual ridge resorption clinical work carried out and implementation scientific theory and experimental basis .
