Abstract


China and the U.S. as the world's largest developing country and the largest developed country and a permanent member of the Security Council in maintaining world and regional peace and stability , promoting global economic development , to prevent the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction , and promote cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region , on issues such as the fight against international crime exists a wide range of common interests , and in strengthening bilateral economic and trade , environmental protection, energy, education , science and technology and cultural exchanges and cooperation there is a huge potential for cooperation . Therefore, the Sino-US relations is the world's most important bilateral relationships in the world , the future development of bilateral relations not only affects the stability and prosperity of the Asia-Pacific region , but will also have the world's political and economic future direction of a decisive impact . In China, Sino-US relations research monographs, papers a lot, most of the scholars are from the federal level to explore the China-US relations . Influence U.S. policy toward China in the study of domestic factors are emphasized Congress , interest groups , think tanks , media and other role. However, with the end of the Cold War , American regionalism in influencing U.S. foreign policy-making component is growing. In this paper, regionalism in American politics as the center, discusses the regionalism of U.S. foreign policy and Sino-US relations. Article first chapter introduces the concept of regionalism and regionalism in American politics in the performance ; second chapter discusses the causes of regionalism , that the regional economic imbalances , regional and cultural differences , the U.S. federal political system is the formation characteristics of regionalism in American politics the most important factor ; Chapter III on the basis of the previous two chapters discussed further regionalism in American politics for the Sino-US relations. Select the last of the United States in the 1990s on the issue of China's trade MFN domestic struggle as a case specific analysis of regionalism this important issue in Sino-US relations as well as on the performance potential in subsequent deeper reason ; in the conclusion part , based on U.S. regionalism factors , the authors propose the Chinese government in response to the U.S. political regionalism some Suggestions .
