Abstract


Vertical specialization (Vertical specialization) earliest by the American economist Balasssa in the 1967. He believes that the production process can be divided into a number of successive stages of production were products within the production processes and links in different countries, so that intermediate goods trade is increasing, and the formation of a vertical chain of international trade, so involved in the production of various countries have benefited. Vertical specialization in the 1990s developed rapidly, and attracted the attention of scholars at home and abroad, many scholars have proposed a division of labor within the product (Intra-product Specialization) outsourcing (Outsouring), production of non-integration (Disintergration of production), fragmentation production (fragmented production), global production sharing (Global production sharing) concepts such as the meaning of the above-mentioned vertical specialization concept is basically the same. With economic globalization and scientific and technological development, the division of labor in the form of vertical specialization also continue to refine and deepen showing a complex, multi-level model of development, the growing number of countries continue to be involved in vertical specialization . Refinement in the international division of labor at the same time, the vertical specialization with its own technology transfer, technology spillover effect on the world with a very significant impact. Countries in the world economic effect is particularly necessary to study vertical specialization has important theoretical and practical significance. In this paper, our (developing countries), for example, through the combination of theoretical and empirical research on the basis of the existing research, the impact of vertical specialization of China's manufacturing productivity, and help us to correctly understand the developing countries in the occupy the position in the vertical specialization. The paper first reviews the background and significance of vertical specialization studies, focusing on analysis of the important impact of vertical specialization of countries in the world, followed by the large number of documents to show the concept of vertical specialization and economic effects, this study vertical specialization on China the impact of manufacturing productivity provides a wealth of theoretical support. Second article integrated the three index system productivity, including labor productivity and total factor productivity and capital productivity, respectively, from different angles to reflect the impact on China's economy of vertical specialization. Finally, the use of empirical testing method to explore the effect and mechanism of vertical specialization of China's manufacturing productivity. The results of this study show that vertical specialization of China's manufacturing labor productivity is an active, positive role in promoting independent innovation ability of the local industry, but not conducive to play when the depth to the level of technology, capital, and thus may lead to the loss of our local industry capacity for sustainable development. There likely will to enter trade barriers through constant innovation of technology, quality, safety standards require the developed countries, developing countries continue dynamic introduction of foreign advanced technology, while phasing out its production equipment, thereby limiting technological innovation in developing countries space for development. Therefore, our manufacturing sector to actively participate in the international division of labor wave should continue to strengthen the development of production capacity, actively increase the technological absorption capacity of foreign technology into the capability of independent innovation, rather than just rely on foreign technology to survive.
