Abstract


Culture is the people’s culture, culture of life, and then architecture is the carrier of culture. Therefore, studying the traditional houses are necessary from studying residential culture to proceed. The traditional houses are the massive buildings in China,and have some connection with the people’s daily lives, it has a long history and profound cultural accumulation. In order to adapt regional climate, different lifestyle, as well as parts of appropriate construction techniques, the formation of a different shape and construction of architectural models. Flat space layout, elevation modeling the composition of indoor and outdoor decoration set, reflecting the different characteristics and a variety of cultural connotations.In this paper, a more representative as an example to explore the north Henan Anyang residential houses in the architectural culture of the implicated. Anyang is one of the birthplaces of Chinese ancient culture, in Anyang, this piece of ancient land, accumulated an unusually rich folk traditional culture, forming a strong local flavor. It is in such a big environment, nurtured in this cultural backgrounds form a rich but under the local characteristics of the residential architectural culture.Anyang traditional dwellings are affected by natural conditions, social environment, customs, religious beliefs and other factors, which showed obvious regional characteristics. It is adapted to local conditions, local materials, harmony with nature; both the layout or facade composition, whether it is external decoration or interior decoration, each one contains elements both rich Confucian culture; houses are also decorated with folk is the residential component of the culture, Anyang residential indoor and outdoor decoration into the simplicity of folk customs, folk, and his style is more local flavor. Therefore, the treatment of traditional houses should not only be protected, but more importantly is the residential culture, heritage and development. In this tradition, let us excellent traditional culture of the Chinese nation spread from generation to generation.
