Abstract

Studies have shown that human memory is not an exact copy of past events, there is a serious deviation from the report with the facts of past events, resulting in false memories. Error memory with the correct memory contains the same information of the nature of memory, with the development of modern cognitive psychology, the phenomenon of false memories are more and more attention on False Memory explore help people understand the potential memory processes. Researchers with the DRM paradigm previous studies conducted in-depth discussion on the factors affecting the false memory. Many studies have found that the warning Tips and Notes state is an important factor affecting the false memory warnings can effectively improve the error memory, there are differences between the results of various experiments, pay attention to the state of the False Memory does not have a unified conclusion, exist even in the opposite direction of the effect of different sizes, a variety of experimental studies and uncompromising. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out a study on False Memory warning prompts and attention to state two factors. Cognitive style reflects the individual meta-cognitive skills in cognitive processes such as attention control skills, the organization of information and the ability to extract there are differences, whether cognitive impact on False Memory, field independence was and field dependence test whether there are differences in terms of false memories worthy of further exploration. Therefore, this study focuses on the different cognitive styles of individuals in different warning prompt, different attention states the question of difference based on the word error memory and cognitive way, warnings, pay attention to the level of the False Memory. In this study, the DRM research paradigm, two experiments were designed. The experiment explored the cognitive style warnings on False Memory, 2 (cognitive style: field independent; the Field Dependence) × 3 (warnings: without warning; ago warning of the stages of learning, recognition test stage before the warning) × (Project Type: school project; critical bait; unrelated) three-factor mixed design, cognitive style, warning prompted for the test variables, the type of project for the within-subject variables. The results show that: 1.
