The Qitai Phrynocephalus Phrynocephalus grumgrzimailoi, and Turpan sand tiger Teratoscincus roborowskii are Xinjiang endemic, and are located in the desert region, Ecology less information about these two desert lizards. These two lizards of sexual dimorphism, feeding habits and breeding ecology content research, supplement and improve its ecological data. 1) Research with the Qitai sand lizard specimens collected in the outskirts of Urumqi on 4-9 January 1984, for laboratory feeding study reproductive characteristics Qitai Phrynocephalus, were collected in Urumqi suburb Wulabo, the acquisition time for 2009 4-9 months. Odd stage sand lizard's gender profiled by morphological measurements showed that in Qitai sand lizard into the body the body a long no significant gender differences (t = 0.216, df = 316, P = 0.826), sexual dimorphism mainly for male large head and long tail, females have larger the axillary hips away from; head, tail, axillary hips magnitude of sexual dimorphism in the subadult existed, and become more significant with the conduct of the ontogeny. Analysis to study the feeding ecology of Qitai Phrynocephalus's stomach contents. Arthropods are basically the Qitai Phrynocephalus recipes, as well as a small amount of plant tissue; April to August, Qitai Phrynocephalus's recipes, different food types and proportions of the different months, but the Hymenoptera and Coleoptera monthly, and the proportion accounted for most of the recipes. Anatomy and laboratory rearing of the Qitai Phrynocephalus breeding life history. Concentrated the Qitai Phrynocephalus mating season in 4-6 months; Male Phrynocephalus April testis has started swelling volume reached a maximum in May, began to decline in June and July, the smallest volume began to rise in August, 9 month adult male sand lizard testis enlargement; female sand lizard annual output of eggs, average 3.23 ± 0.14 (1-5) pieces per spawning, spawning time is concentrated in 5-7 months, after August The follicles are in telogen; clutch size, nest egg weight, egg mass and relative nest egg weight with body length of the female body was positively correlated (P lt; 0.05). 2) for the study the Turpan sand tiger specimens caught in April 2008 -2009 in May, Chinese Academy of Turpan Desert Botanical Garden. The morphological indicators the measurement and row relics analysis of sexual dimorphism and food habits of the seasonal changes in the Turpan sand tiger study results show that the Turpan sand tiger adult sexual dimorphism, the performance of a wide head for males, adult females larger axillary hip distance; different age groups, gender individual head length and head width of males with body length were tested at the same speed increase (P gt; 0.05), the only female head width growth rate gradually Ontogenetic decreases; the Turpan Sand tiger intake of animal foods are arthropods, plant food capers fruit.
