Abstract


In the background of economic diversification, as a technology start-ups, entrepreneurs need to use a variety of external and internal resources to complete the business, entrepreneurs rely on their own more difficult to achieve, which on the entrepreneurial competence a higher power requirements. Entrepreneurial competency of entrepreneurs in the technology start-ups, is that the combination of knowledge, skills, abilities and qualities which the entrepreneurs try to successfully fulfill job responsibilities in the entrepreneurial process and where to generate good jobs in the business performance.It is a new concept which combines the field of competency and entrepreneurship, the research of entrepreneurial competence is still relatively little and has only just begun in recent years, and still remain in the exploratory research stage.Therefore, the study of entrepreneurial competency of entrepreneurs in the technology start-ups in the context of China is of great significance whether from the point of view in theory or in practice.This study on the venture, the relationship between competence and performance of research literature review, in-depth analysis of Thomas based on the six-dimensional model, combining science and technology start-ups entrepreneurs and small-scale interview job characteristics, using empirical research the method of science and technology in the Chinese context of new enterprises, entrepreneurial competence and entrepreneurial performance studied the relationship between the proposed and validated tech start-ups Entrepreneurial Competency seven dimensional model. In addition, some entrepreneurs choose their own factors as antecedent variables were used to compare different educational background, business before the relevant training, entrepreneurship training and after the relevant work experience related to the formation of entrepreneurial competence. The same time, entrepreneurs of the external environment and competitive dynamics of the two aspects of perception, as an adjustment variable in the external environment on the entrepreneurial perception of competence and firm performance relationship between the impact of regulation. In the end uncertainty affecting business performance of entrepreneurs age, firm size, business age and stage of business development for effective control of four factors based on the above empirical results verify and correct science and technology start-ups entrepreneurial competency model.Based the empirical study, the paper finally reached the following conclusions:First, the proposed and validated tech start-ups the entrepreneurial competency model seven dimensions, including opportunities for capacity-relations skills, conceptual ability, organizational skills, strategic ability, commitment and technical capacity of seven dimensions. Secondly, by analyzing the model of the Dimensions and the external environment interaction effect on the business performance impact, the study from the external environment, competitive and dynamic nature of both the external environment characteristics were verified on the model of each dimension and entrepreneurial performance regulating the relationship between the role of the external environment and the different characteristics of different dimensions and entrepreneurial performance regulation of the relationship between the degree of difference there.
