Abstract


From the angle of cross-cultural perspective and theories about cultural research, this paper analyzes Korean dramas, the main force of Korean wave, to discuss the reason of why Korean dramas can conquer Chinese audience and to find experience and enlightenment from the rise of Korean culture. This paper is divided into five parts: the first part clears the process of Korean dramas’population in China and tries to give a proper definition and position to Korean dramas. The second part analyzes the production and patterns of text from the angle of cultural industry. Based on the inherent demands of the business, Korean dramas have specific pattern and method in production and dissemination. On the basis of taking advantage of the film industry of Hollywood, Korean dramas use a series of narrative strategies in internal concept and external form. The third part analyzes audience’s attitude and psychology of acceptance to Korean dramas from the perspective of audience’s analysis. Korean dramas almost filled with orient understanding, spirit of tolerance and aesthetic feeling. These aspirations and values of life elements are easy to make Chinese audience have resonance. The fourth part mainly analyzes the cultural context of Korean dramas’prosperity from the angle of huwen between Chinese and Korean culture and the strategies of Korean government’s cultural industry. The last part talks about the potential bottlenecks and the possible outlet of Korean dramas, discusses its enlightenment to Chinese films’production and cultural industry. Based on national culture and relied on East Asian cultures, facing internationality is the several process of Korean dramas’development. Korean dramas’cultural clash from East Asia to the world successfully enlighten us that only to maintain the open attitude to culture, maintain integration and innovation, we can build a bridge of art between nation and world.
