Abstract


Philosophy of Life is a popular philosophical school in western history during the 20th century. When mention the concepts of Philosophy of Life, people immediately think of Bergson so that Bergson’s name has become the symbol of Philosophy of Life. So far, there are many scholars have been researching his chief theories, but most of the research work is confined to the field of Philosophy of Life so that his religious ideas is researched by few people. This paper tries to make the vital concept of Philosophy of Life life impulse be the main thread, in order to explore the underlying logical relationship of his religious ideas with his philosophy thoughts, and finally clarifies his own special religious ideas and its significance from the perspective of his Philosophy of Life. Firstly, this paper takes the life impulse as the cutting points of the theory research, and then shows the evolution source of his religious theory; secondly, researches the two religious forms respectively, static religion and dynamic religion, thereby illustrating that the dynamic religion is the perfect form of life impulse; and finally, the paper reviews the dynamic religion’s significance from the perspective of his Philosophy of Life and its limitations.
