Plantation has great ecological, economic and social benefits, and thus to study Chinese plantation how to implement sustainable business necessary. Based on access to a large number of domestic and foreign literature, I summarized the internationally important practices related to the sustainable development of forestry, and also summarizes the status of the world plantation, problems and countermeasures for sustainable development, and analysis of China the plantation status and problems, and ways to solve China plantation. A century, some forestry forestry experts developed countries at different times of the significance of sustainable development of forest management theory and practice: Close to Nature Forest, constant forestry, forest multi-functional theory, the new forestry, long-term productivity maintain and ecosystem management, they become an integral part of sustainable forest development today. Now the whole world about 18,700 million ha of plantations, Pinus and Eucalyptus species is still the most commonly planted tree species in plantations, Forestry advanced foreign countries only 1.2% to 16% the proportion of plantation area made 60 % to 93% ratio of industrial forest products. Universal monoculture plantations have the biological stability problems, such as the many plantations instability, resistance to adverse environmental weak capacity, easy to cause diseases and pests, and low economic and ecological benefits. Plantation of this situation, some foreign countries were using intensive silviculture, near-natural forestry, Hang Lin, multifunction operation, to develop sustainable business index system and forest certification theory and methods of governance. Chinese plantation area ranks first in the world, but the quality is not high, a lot of problems, such as poor plantation biodiversity, biological instability, embodied in a serious pest, to withstand the severe recession of abnormal climate weak capacity and fertility, productivity very low. In reference to the practice of sustainable development of the foreign plantation and on the basis of the problem of governance, I have the following constructive responses: 1. Development of bio-diversity, and enhance the stability of Plantation, which includes full use of the forces of nature to restore the forest, and focus on the development of valuable tree species and native species, the development of multi-species reforestation, to adjust species forest species configuration to form a rational structure of the landscape, vegetation management science. 2. Achieve sustainable productivity management, namely management good factors affect the long-term productivity, a class of human beings can control factors such as logging slash Litters processing, development of understory vegetation and Mixed, fertilization and site preparation, etc., this should increase the research and implementation efforts; other is to humans can not control factors, such as climatic disasters, fires, this strengthening forecast predicted. Vigorously promote intensive silviculture, good control of key silvicultural techniques: such as genetic control, site control, density control, traction control and vegetation control. Plantation management at home and abroad a good place, in order to achieve directional, fast-growing, high yield, high quality, stability and high economic benefits six goals, effective implementation of these measures, intensive management of plantations.
