Abstract


The rapid development of modern logistics industry is an inevitable requirement of the twenty-first century global industrial restructuring . How to meet customer product diversification, the demand for timeliness requirements , design and provide personalized logistics solutions for customers , increase the freight product range , reduce service costs while improving service levels , which have become long-term viability of rail transport and an important means of fast development . And also rail transport in a comprehensive multi-faceted competition to obtain advantage must be taken into account and improve the problem . The paper first analyzes the development status of the rail freight on the relevant theories and methods of modern logistics , compared to the modern logistics industry and transport the essential difference between the concrete application of the method of SWOT analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of rail freight development of modern logistics , discusses the necessity, importance and feasibility of rail freight to the development of modern logistics . The Yunnan Railway for the study , its external and internal environment of the development of modern logistics industry , Yunnan railway freight transport demand situation . And on the basis of the needs analysis , the use of a linear regression model to forecast the rail freight , pointed out the urgency of Yunnan Railway development of modern logistics .
