Abstract


The high school English reading is to train high school students English communicative ability is the most important part. Reading can provide the most effective language input, so that students get a certain language skills. However, the traditional mode of teaching high school to teach basic pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar based still occupies a great position, this concern only local, and ignore the whole mode of teaching reading to hinder the development of students' reading potential. The last fifty years, has made great progress in the theory of reading comprehension. With the introduction of the development of reading comprehension research and reading theory and skills, high school English reading teaching from teachers blindly input language knowledge while slowly transformed reading as an interactive communication process, although we have a general understanding of reading , but the lack of a more profound understanding of the process and the nature of reading comprehension. English as a language, and its main function is communication, reading activities are no exception. This paper attempts to examine reading comprehension from communication theory, especially in the perspective of relevance theory. Semiotic theory from Saussure, Austin's speech act theory, Grice's cooperation principle to Sri Lanka beat Beth Wilson's relevance theory, communication theory through several important stages of development in the history of the development of linguistics. Since Sri Lanka beat Beth Wilson relevance theory in 1986 in their book \The relevance theory be applied to various fields in various disciplines such as psychology, literature, translation and linguistics semantics, syntax, stylistics, rhetoric and discourse analysis. However, the associated theory in high school English reading comprehension use few and far between. In the process of teaching reading, the author of this article association theory of reading comprehension has strong explanatory power. Associated theoretical framework based on the nature of reading comprehension to make the following analysis: Reading is the process of exchange and writer; reading readers find the best associated process; reading readers EXPRESS - reasoning based on the process of reasoning. In order to test whether the use of the associated theory of reading comprehension significance of experiments in Wuhan Second Campus Arts Stream in the process of teaching reading to equip students with the knowledge of the associated theory. II Campus Arts Stream object of the experiment, the English foundation moderate or deviation. Through a five-month experiment, the authors found that the association theory have a positive effect on reading comprehension for students based language students in the particular context reasoning ability is particularly effective. The Relevance Theory read in high school English textbooks is not very clear for the base, especially in poor English students, because they are the first thing to do is to strengthen the language basis of reading material to choose easier. Finally, the problem of the first mentioned in the text, reading comprehension, and to the students and teachers have put forward certain proposals.
