Abstract


Triangle mesh’s modeling and rendering has gained attentions in computer graphics community. The primary mission is to slove the problem of how the data of vertexes is compressed and rendered . Basing on the modern programmable graphic processing unit ,DirectX, and region growing , a method of mesh topology prensentation using fans strips is inducted. with a lowest compression ratios of 2.75b/v.then, a method of constructing the series of generalized triangles strip of a triangle mesh is put forward. The manageability of video memory located on graphic processing unit is employed and the vertices are transmitted from main memory to graphic processing unit less than twice during the rendering of triangle mesh through allocating a size-appropriate vertex buffer in video memory.
