Cell as a typical representative of the heterogeneous multi-core high-performance processor , its programming model and compiler technology in recent years has become the research focus , OpenMP support incremental parallel program development as a shared storage system, programming language , and widely used . OpenMP programming environment for the Cell processor , can reduce the difficulty of programming of heterogeneous multicore processors to improve programming efficiency . In this paper, the the OpenMP transplanted to heterogeneous multi-core processors on the need to overcome the technical difficulties , the key technologies needed for OpenMP compiler on the Cell processor to achieve a breakthrough from the abstract three aspects of the execution model , the single-source compiler technology , shared storage , and based on the the GNU OpenMP C language compiler , OpenMP compiler that supports the Cell processor , verify OpenMP can be realized in heterogeneous multicore processors . To improve performance, the compiler optimization and code overlap technology through software cache . Designed and implemented a software cache support consistency maintenance can significantly reduce latency, the OpenMP shared data access designed and implemented an automatic code partitioning algorithm can reduce the number of code block switch , effectively solve the SPE coprocessor OpenMP parallel code too large . Test the functionality and performance of the compiler . The results show that the compiler more complete support for the OpenMP C syntax OpenMP programs compiled with higher parallel speedup on the Cell processor , and at the same time ensure easy programming , more efficient use of the Cell 's parallel computing capabilities.
