Abstract


Objective: To detect cervical squamous cell cancer tissue , normal cervical metastasis lymph nodes the medial type Ⅰ metalloproteinases (MT1-MMP/MMP-14) of the expression of the situation , MMP-14 protein in cervical squamous cell infiltration , metastasis The role and clinical pathological significance . Methods : Using immunohistochemistry assay with 24 cases ( 72 points ) cervical squamous cell carcinoma lesions , paraneoplastic its combination of edge organizations tissue microarray , 21 cases of cervical squamous cell carcinoma , six cases paracancerous organizations and 15 metastatic lymph node tissues in the expression of MMP-14 protein . Collecting the related pathological data were statistically analyzed to study the clinical stage , histological differentiation , depth of tumor invasion , lymph node metastasis, MMP-14 protein . Results : MMP-14 protein in the cytoplasm and membrane of tumor cells strongly positive expression . Situ lesions with paraneoplastic MMP - 14 protein expression difference was statistically significant ( P = 0.000 ) . Paraneoplastic edge organizations express the difference was not statistically significant ( P gt; 0.25 ) . Normal cervical tissue did not express or weakly positive . Yellow granules , strong positive expression rate of 3 % of metastatic lymph nodes in the tumor cell cytoplasm . Paracancerous MMP-14 protein expression in the epithelial cells near the basement membrane , strong positive expression rate of 12% . Surrounding stromal cells of the tumor cancer nests weak expression of MMP-14 protein . Different stages of tumor cell membrane MMP-14 protein strongly positive expression high cytoplasmic expression rate ( P lt; 0.05 ) . MMP-14 protein expression in the cytoplasm of the epithelial cells of squamous metaplasia in paraneoplastic and normal cervical tissue increased , the difference was statistically meaningful ( P = 0.005 ) and non scales epithelial cells . MMP-14 protein expression in non- statistically significant ( P lt; 0.05 ) differences in the comparison of the age, clinical stage , histological differentiation , lymph node metastasis , tumor size , invasion depth comparison of the differences are significant (P gt ; 0.05). Conclusion : MMP-14 protein expression in the cytoplasm and cell membrane of the tumor cells , its high expression in cervical squamous cell carcinoma clinical stage , degree of differentiation , and tumor size, lymph node metastasis , tumor depth of invasion in cervical cancer invasion, metastasis plays an important role , and may become a predictor of lymph node metastasis of cervical squamous cell carcinoma .
