Abstract


Objective: To observe the viral meningoencephalitis, suppurative meningoencephalitis in patients with acute and convalescent cerebrospinal fluid and serum IFN-γ, IL-10 and S-100B protein content changes and discuss its clinical significance. Methods: 32 cases of viral meningitis patients (disease brain group) and 28 cases of suppurative meningoencephalitis patients (meningitis group) as the observation group, 30 cases of the observation group match patients with non-organic diseases of the nervous system as a control group, double antibody sandwich ELISA were detected in the cerebrospinal fluid and serum IFN-γ, IL-10 and S-100B protein concentration; application SPSS14.0 statistical package for statistical analysis. Results: (1) viral meningitis group and of the brain in patients with acute CSF and serum of IFN-γ, IL-10, S-100B protein levels significantly higher than the recovery period and the control group (P lt; 0.01). (2) disease the Brain group of patients with acute CSF and serum IFN-γ levels significantly higher than that of patients with acute meningitis group (P lt; 0.01), oriented the Brain group of patients with acute CSF and serum IL-10, S-100B protein levels were significantly higher than that of patients with acute disease brain group (P lt; 0.01). (3) acute phase CSF IFN-γ/IL-10 ratio between serum: the disease brains Unit gt; gt of the control group; meningitis group (P lt; 0.01). (4) the disease cerebral groups and the acute phase of meningitis group coma patients with CSF and serum S-100B protein concentration was significantly higher than the non-comatose patients (P lt; 0.01). (5) disease brain group and of the brain in patients with acute serum S-100B protein concentration and CSF S-100B protein concentration was significantly positively correlated (r = 0.949, P lt; 0.01). (6) the disease cerebral group of patients the acute phase of CSF S-100B protein concentration and of IFN-γ concentration showed a significant positive correlation (r = 0.557, P lt; 0.05), S-100B protein concentration and of IL-10 concentration without significantly with related (r = 0.057, P gt; 0.05); of cerebral group of patients with the acute phase of CSF S-100B protein concentration of IL-10 concentration was significantly positive related (r = 0.463, P lt; 0.05), S-100B protein concentration and of IFN-γ concentration without significantly related (r = 0.189, P gt; 0.05); acute phase of the disease brain group and of the brain in patients CSF IFN-γ and IL-10 concentrations were not significantly correlated (P gt; 0.05). Conclusion: S-100B protein in cerebrospinal fluid and serum concentration may reflect the degree of damage of glial cells; help cerebrospinal fluid and serum IFN-γ, IL-10 and IFN-γ/IL-10 ratio Determination viral meningitis The differential diagnosis of encephalitis and purulent meningoencephalitis; IFN-γ / IL-10 ratio imbalance may exacerbate autoimmune damage of the nerve cells in the central nervous system infections.
