Abstract

Modified asphalt technology has been widely used in two major areas : building waterproof and flexible pavement . Resistance, high temperature performance to improve the asphalt and expand its use of the temperature range , for the purpose of extending its life , while adding the polymer , resulting in a blend system , which we call the modified asphalt . There are many types of modified bitumen , elastomer modified asphalt is the most widely used and the most important one . With the continuous application of modified asphalt , people gradually found that the modified system stability issues directly affect its application , storage and transportation . The reason is mainly asphalt and modified with the molecular weight of the polymer materials that much difference , so that the modified system in a metastable state in most cases . This has a direct impact on the application and promotion of modified asphalt . In this paper, based on the stability of SBS modified asphalt , the various components of the base asphalt blends , the role of the stability of the entire system memory focus . The main conclusions of the study are as follows : 1 . Into a certain amount of SBS can be improved to a certain extent, the performance of asphalt system in the body . 2. SBS modified bitumen system , bitumen individual components have different performance and role in the stability of the entire system . 3. The bitumen modified process , the mixed manner on the stability of the system as a whole also has a different role.
