Abstract


With the development of cognitive psychology, research on second language acquisition from \In recent years, many scholars working on second language acquisition in the Learning Strategies, as one of the four basic skills of listening also attracted special attention from researchers. In fact, researchers at home and abroad has been a lot of foreign language learners listening comprehension strategies to conduct a survey and research. However, these studies are carried out in a traditional environment, there are few scholars autonomous learning environment of students listening strategies usage. Therefore, the need for this new environment, the use of the students' listening strategies for more surveys and studies to provide more information and findings. This paper reviewed the policy and learning at home and abroad on the basis of listening strategies, through the Taishan University two non-English major classes of 76 students of the investigation, trying to explore the self-learning environment (a) use of non-English majors Listening Strategies overall condition; (2) the high and low levels of hearing level learners use different listening strategies; (3) gender differences in listening strategies learners; (4) the level of hearing and listening strategies using correlation . This paper mainly uses questionnaires launched a survey on students' listening strategies. One of the tools is the use of listening strategies using questionnaires;'s second school final exam and in June 2009 the National College English Test Listening. The collected information and data, use of educational software SPSS10.0 statistical analyzes. Using descriptive statistics and independent samples T-test analysis of non-English majors use of listening strategies, the use of correlation analysis of students' listening strategies and the relationship between the level of hearing. The study found that: first, autonomous learning environments Overall, non-English majors does use certain strategies, but they are used in English listening strategies moderate levels. Cognitive strategies they use a higher frequency, but the use of metacognitive strategies, social-emotional strategies relatively low frequency. Second, the high frequency of use of grouping students strategies significantly higher than the low group. High school students, in the course of hearing better at monitoring, speculation and use of resources; girls to use a higher frequency of social affective strategies, more girls than boys are better at using the monitoring, cooperative learning, reduce anxiety and other strategies; listening strategies and listening levels have a positive relevance, the more frequent use of listening strategies, the higher the efficiency of learners. Based on the above findings, the paper puts forward the corresponding pedagogical implications: First, English teachers to train students to use listening strategies awareness, help them understand the importance of listening strategies used; Second, teachers in the classroom in the Teaching learning strategies, especially metacognitive strategies and social affective strategies; Third, training English teachers in strategies to take into account gender differences, with special emphasis on social-emotional strategies used by boys for training. This article in the paper points out the shortcomings of this study, such as: small sample size, single, methods and tools used in the study is small. In this paper for future research in this field made a number of recommendations.
