Abstract


As a basic part of language , vocabulary, especially the high-frequency verbs , has always been the focus of the study of people . From a cross - linguistic point of view , some of the features of these verbs inherently makes them become the focus of attention . Currently, the use of high-frequency verbs have been a lot of research . The research results show that even the most simple high-frequency verb learner difficulties still exist . Thus this article select the two high frequency verbs learn and take Interlanguage Corpus evidence to support comparative research methods , sub- library the Chinese Learner Corpus (CLEC) and the British National Corpus (BNC) , from the typical mix and interlanguage with two , compared to the similarities and differences between English learners and native speakers high frequency the verb learn and take with word . Learn index row is randomly selected from the BNC and CLEC 300 each , to explore the similarities and differences between specific semantic relations sentence learners and native speakers use . The study shows that : 1 ) compared with native speakers , Chinese English learners excessive use of two high frequency verbs , especially verbs learn ; types of collocations 2 ) learners used less than native speakers . Frequency of collocation and MI values ??differ , but the learner collocation there was not only a part of a typical match , also with some interlanguage . Collocation individual typical study further found that there are huge differences , with the use of the word , learners and native speakers ; 3) relative to other semantics for learners better grasp of the basic semantics learn that part of the cross in Chinese the semantic and English semantics . So they are easier to ignore the high frequency verb semantic items , in both the English and the native language semantics rather accustomed to using . This paper further explain the reasons for the the Chinese learners excessive use of high-frequency verbs , analysis of the impact of the native language of these two high-frequency verbs with .
