Abstract


Republic of China, the level of productivity is still very backward , facing a sudden disaster , religion is still an important means for people to cope with disaster . Even earlier by the European and American influence Jiangnan region , the situation is the same. Throughout the Southern associated with disasters around the Temple , folklore , largely reflects the dependence of the people of the gods , to some extent can even say that the existence of these gods have become a pillar survival . Temple visits , can be found , there are some characteristics of these shrines in the southern region distribution , these features can not only reflect the history of disasters situation , but also can explain the disaster beliefs on people 's social life impact . The Republic of the disaster was frequent, and the traditional society , the main way for people to respond to disasters is still by holding various ceremonies , in order to achieve the purpose of praying limitless disaster . Different manifestations in the ceremony and the mental attitude of the people at the ceremony , the ceremony can be divided into Praying ceremony , witchcraft ceremony and a harbinger of the ceremony . Although the significance of the expression of these different nature of the religious ceremony is different, but these rituals can be deeper reflects the psychological trend towards crisis . The real life of the people in the disaster beliefs and rituals can have a positive impact on people's lives , these effects on people's social life in the Republic still plays an important role in the function to give psychological comfort : people plagued by disasters , enhance the confidence of the people to live ; adding to people's daily entertainment , adjusting the pace of social life of the people , to maintain the unity of the social groups ; promote social spread and development of traditional culture , to promote modern national consciousness . Disasters faith has it persist in people 's social life and ideology .
