Abstract


Discourse theory of control behavior is a relatively new theory, proposed in 1990 by Thomas. Theory of discourse control behavior is mainly used to study in the driving position words how to control the discourse participants choose to speak in a passive position to achieve from the language of discourse control behavior is controlled by three words: discourse instructions (discoursal Indicators ), the metadiscourse On Register (meta-the discoursal comments) and interactive discourse control language (interactional Controllers). Discourse deixis is used to indicate a range of topics, to achieve the purpose of discourse, the nature of discourse and discourse; meta-discourse Reviews language is used to prevent a discourse means of control words in a passive position out of a conversation topic set ; interactive discourse Control language to another discourse leads to the interpretation of the words in a passive position and the feedback control means. This article is based on the behavior of this discourse control theory, selected forty discourse material as the object of analysis. In order to ensure the authenticity and naturalness of these materials to speak, selected materials from the \These words materials scenes can be divided into four categories: business talk, talk radio, professor - student dialogue and job interviews. The first chapter introduces the research work of the previous speech acts and there for further research, which leads to the discourse control behavior theory; second chapter introduces the discourse control behavior theory and its functions. Participants to speak in the driving position in the third chapter first focuses on how to use these three words to control behavior to control the discourse participants choose to speak in a passive position, control behavior demonstrated by the discourse control features; followed from a large number of party to engage in dialogue in a passive position as a courtesy, and faltered when responding to questions and hesitation to further analyze the discourse control characteristics of the selected material. From the participants to speak both to consider the practice of discourse control feature, expanded Thomas's words to control behavior theory only just from the one in the driving position to consider the limitations of the discourse control features. This thesis is based on the control characteristics of these words designed to further analysis in Chapter the discourse participants Perlocutionary in a passive position effect, and a reflection of the participants to speak in a passive position into obedience, have reservations about compliance and three categories of non-compliant, so that further breakthroughs in Thomas's words only consider the discourse control behavior and not consider the the participants succeed effects of the words in a passive position of control behavior theory approach.
