Abstract


Part of the learning strategies as a Second Language , Communication Strategies research began in the seventies of the last century . Theorists have different views on Communication Strategies training . The object of this study is vocational nursing students , Communication Strategies training on their practical significance . Vocational nursing issued new English syllabus clearly the ability of students to use English for interpersonal communication . According to the status of students' English learning , students of foreign language communication ability is imperative . Order to improve students ' English communication ability faster and better , the study based on the theory of social constructivism , proceed from the Communication Strategies training , to explore ways to improve the vocational nursing students' oral communication ability , for reference only . In this study, using a combination of style training methods , will be outlined , circuitous and to help three pairs communicative strategy training into vocational nursing English teaching courses , experimental training period of six months, a semester ( second semester of the 2003-2004 academic year ) . Pretest and posttest questionnaire after Mann-Whitney U-Test and the Z-value test analysis , and accompanied by training diary , interviews and information on the scene and common that students have made great progress in the strategic competence , in particular, is an overview of and circuitous two pairs of communication Strategies frequency of use , progress is even more evident . This study answers the following research questions : the communicative strategy training oral expression have a positive impact on the development of fluency students have some role .
