Abstract


During the early 21st century, the most influential international event is urbanization of China, in addition to high-technology . As the world’s largest developing country China’s urbanization process is accelerating. Shandong province is China’s second largest economy and population. Recently, the level of urbanization of Shandong province increase very fast, but in the process of urbanization, there are many problems. In order to achieve a high-quality and rapid development of urbanization ,It is necessary to analyze its urbanization systematically to know the relationship between urbanization and economic growth. Through quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis on the specific relationship between urbanization and economic growth, We can come up with some policy recommendations for the sustained and healthy development of urbanization of Shandong province .This article analyze the relationship between urbanization and economic growth systematically . The results show that: the development of urbanization of Shandong province shows the characteristics of stages, the development of urbanization is of twists and turns. Through composite index method using of 17 cities of Shandong province measure the urbanization level and analyze the problems of urbanization .We can find that urbanization and economic growth is very relevant. It is necessary to know the relationship between urbanization and economic growth through the quantitative research. After quantitative analysis of this phenomenon, We find that economic growth raise the level of urbanization and has a great role in promoting and raising the level of urbanization , on the contrary , the influence of urbanization on economic growth is relatively weak. Urbanization problems can be analyzed through economic growth . The changes of mode of economic growth can solve urban problems which is of great significance. In urbanization and economic growth interaction, Shandong province’s economic growth is significantly good for urbanization. The level of urbanization depends on economic growth. Also, urbanization increasing the economic growth through the lag effect should not to be ignored.
