Abstract


The CiFu-verse of Su Shi, Su Zhe and the four scholars of the Su Group, was one of the important component of their writing. But unfortunately, being bound to the traditional concept, many critics of every dynasty could not make reasonable measure about it. In recent years, although more and more critics have paid close attention to the CiFu-verse of Su Shi, Su Zhe and the four scholars of the Su Group, the comprehensive arrangement and the total valuation have not appeared. At the base of exploring the academic trend of Bei Song-Dynasty, and the basic creation of the six men, this article tries to analyze their CiFu-verse specifically and evaluate it objectively.This article is composed of three parts. Firstly, in respect of the content, the CiFu-verse was as rich as their essay and poetry, mirroring their various political and life experience. Secondly, in respect of the stylistics, the six men were good at writing the CiFu-verse, and the best writers at their time,even as excellent as the ancient authors, as far as Wen-Fu, Pian-Fu and the Sao Ti-CiFu were concerned. Thirdly, by comparing some CiFu-verse with the same title, we can study the motive and the effect of their creation, to see the difference of the same group member.In this way, this article tries to summarize the character of the CiFu-verse written by the six men, and put it in the position that it should be, in the Song-Dynasty’s literature, even in the whole CiFu-verse developing history.
