Abstract


SU SHI and SU ZHE were brothers. They love and enjoy each other. During their official career, they always had similar opinions no matter kilter or not. Their responsoiy by poems began in 1059 when they left Sichuan province and ended in 1101 when they went back from Lingnan where they were exiled(SU SHI died in this year).It lasted for 43 years, so it is valuable to study these poems. The whole paper contains four parts: introduction, main body, epilogue and addenda.In introduction part, I’ll introduce the reasons why I choose this subject, the current study actuality and its significance.The main body contains four chapters. In the first chapter, I’ll define the responsorial poems. Then I’ll simply discuss the writing circs and characteristic about the history of responsorial poems, such as seed, development, maturity and sublimation. What’s more, I’ll define the scope about responsorial poems between SU SHI and SU ZHE Brothers.I’ll discuss the responsorial poems between SU SHI and SU ZHE brothers. These are the emphases of my paper.In the second chapter, I’ll discuss the folk-custom responsorial poems between them on the focus of SHU and CHU folk-custom. In face of the same folk-custom, they wrote poems at different angles and had different views. These had the relationship with their minds and views on literature.In the third chapter, I’ll discus the responsorial poems about painting from three facets: contents, the compares of poetic style and skill, their writing mentality. The contents contain class of people, beast landscape, conifer and stone. At the mention of poetic style, SU SHI’s poetic style is bold, unconstrained and comely; while SU ZHE’s poetic style is unvarnished and natural. At the mention of skill, each of them had his strong point. Their writing mentality contains three facets: first, they flaunted their superiorities. For example, they discussed the theory of painting with different opinions but enjoy the same standards; second, they living leisurely. The interests in poems, handwriting and painting urged them to write poems about painting; third, they adore the free and easy tendency about the social mood of Wei and Jin dynasties. Of course, they also wanted to look for homestead for their hearts and avoid dangerous circs.In the forth chapter, I’ll discuss the responsorial poems on TAO YUAN-Ming’s poetic verse between SU SHI and SU ZHE brothers from contents and their writing mentality. The contents contain four facets: the inconsistency about whether to be officials or to be common persons living in their hometown, brotherhood, the concerning on current society and their thoughts during exile, their broad-minded feeling about life and SU ZHE’s great grief about SU SHI’s death. Their writing mentality is that they admired TAO YUAN-Ming and his poems. It also contains their experience, encounter, personality pursing, the pursing and practice of prosaic style about poems.In epilogue I’ll summarize the whole paper.The addenda part shows the production about responsorial poems between SU SHI and SU ZHE brothers.The former researcher always studied this subject from stages while in my paper, I’ll study them profoundly at a different angle of contents especially the characteristic parts: responsorial poems about folk-custom, paintings, and TAO YUAN-Ming’s poetic verse. I want to promote the study of this subject on the base of the production of former researcher.
