Objective To investigate the DNA binding inhibitory protein -1 (Id-1) expression and tumor cell differentiation in colon cancer , depth of invasion , lymph node metastasis and TNM staging . The method used immunohistochemical methods were detected 17 cases of colorectal adenomas , 16 cases of atypical hyperplasia , 52 cases of colon cancer and 15 cases of carcinoma and adjacent normal tissue of Id-1 expression . Results normal intestinal mucosa occasional Id-1 protein expression in colorectal adenomas , atypical hyperplasia , the positive expression rates of colon cancer tissue were 29.4% , 43.75% , 73.1% , a statistically significant difference compared to the three (P <0.05). Poorly differentiated colon carcinoma , the positive expression of Id-1 is higher than the high degree of differentiation between the two the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05 ) ; 35 cases with lymph node metastasis in primary tumor lesions in 29 cases ( 82.9% ) the expression of Id- 1 , 17 patients without lymph node metastasis expression of Id-1 (52.9%), both statistically significant ( P <0.05 ) ; nine cases with tumor infiltration depth increased , TNM staging elevated expression of Id -1 positive ratio increased , the difference was statistically significant ( P <0.05 ) . Id-1 protein expression and colon cancer tissue differentiation, invasion , lymph node metastasis, TNM stage , regardless of age . Conclusion Id-1 protein expression was significantly increased in colon cancer tissue , and colon cancer invasion and metastasis and TNM clinical stage , can be used as one of the indicators of colon cancer prognosis .
