Abstract

With the ever-changing science and technology, transportation and communication technology advances, the economic and cultural exchanges have become increasingly frequent. Interpretation, as an important cross-cultural communication tool, due to its rapid transmission of information and effective cross-cultural communication advantage in the increasingly frequent international exchanges in today's society has been widely used. Therefore, how to improve the quality of interpretation has become an urgent problem. The work of the interpreters is a service provided for communication between people in different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, cross-cultural communication is a face-to-face activities. Therefore, the interpretation is both cross-language activities, but also cross-cultural communication. Interpreted as a cross-cultural communication activities, leading to an interpreter at work inevitably face a variety of cross-cultural communication barriers and conflicts. However, for a long time, the quality of interpretation tends to be concentrated in the interpretation theory and language skills of the translators and interpreters skills training, ignoring the cultural factors affect the quality of the interpretation. In fact, the process of interpretation of cross-cultural communication barriers have seriously affected the successful completion of the work of the interpreters. Therefore, from the perspective of cross-cultural communication research to improve the quality of an interpreter, both in theory and in practice are very meaningful. In this paper, a study on the following four aspects: 1. Process of interpretation interpreter will encounter the kind of cross-cultural communication barriers, these cross-cultural communication barriers be interested in the quality of interpretation and what impact? Interpretation caused by cross-cultural communication barriers What is the root cause? practice of interpretation which strategies can help interpreters to cope with these cross-cultural communication barriers, better interpreters effect? ??4 for an interpreter, how to improve their cross-cultural communication ability to improve the quality of interpretation? solve the above problem of interpretation, culture, communication, intercultural communication theory research, and the relationship between them as the theoretical basis, by observing the interpretation of text and data analysis of a number of different occasions, in-depth study of interpretation in the process of cross-cultural communication barriers, both verbal communication and non-verbal communication summarized into several main types. And typical examples selected from these texts and data corpus analyzed in detail, revealing the impact of cross-cultural communication barriers arising from the quality of interpretation can not be ignored. On this basis, the authors also explore the cause of the underlying causes of these cross-cultural communication barriers. The cultural differences are the main cause of interpreters in cross-cultural communication barriers. The fundamental reason is that Western modes of thinking, geography and natural environment, religious beliefs, cultural values ??and cultural context different cultural differences. For interpreting various cross-cultural communication barriers, interpreters should have the flexibility to adopt different strategies to be addressed in order to improve the quality of interpretation.
