Abstract


Unbalanced development since the reform and opening up in accordance with the theory of regional disparities in China is gradually expanding , affect social stability. Advocate inclusive growth , to promote the harmonious development of economy and society , and become a theme in the development of the Chinese . This article will explore the regional economic convergence changes the new law , the exact area of policy recommendations . The core part of this article has two elements : First, analysis of regional economic convergence . From five regions to re-examine China 's regional economic convergence to test regional economic convergence , respectively, from the two levels of the province , and to explore the regional economic convergence variation . Convergence is characterized by periodic fluctuations : ( 1) 1984-2008 , 1984-1990 , 2000 and 2008 convergence exist there is absolutely convergent 1990-2000 divergence . Although from 1990 to 2008 there is no absolute convergence , but added control variables such as government factors , investment in fixed assets , the level of industrialization , population , geographic conditions can promote the country conditional convergence ; ( 2 ) from 1992 to 2000 in all regions formed a club convergence in the east, northeast , central, southwest of the formation of the club in the 1992-2008 convergence , in the east, northeast , southwest region in 2000 to form the club convergence . The second is the regulation of China 's regional economic convergence . Important elements of convergence changes the focus from research, combined with the p - conditional convergence analysis , convergence derived regulation revelation : to co - ordinate regional development ; increase capital investment efforts ; slow population growth ; accelerate technological progress ; increase investment in human capital .
