Abstract


This thesis focuses on software project management process existing test process complexity , high cost of bug fixes , the results are difficult to quantify issues such as analysis , pointing out that by strengthening the defect management can play to improve software quality and reduce development costs and achieve quantitative project management . In this thesis, defect management through the elaboration of theoretical knowledge and research on the defect measurement techniques , the proposed project is implemented in software defect metrics general process to achieve the company EDS system deficiencies metric functions, and the tool applied to the project defect measurement process , and achieved good results. This thesis focuses on a number of defects metrics metrics principle and implementation process , specifically including defect density , defect elimination rate , defect correction rate , defect discovery rate , defect pass rate. Thesis metrology tools are designed to be applied to the defect management , the realization of automatic calculation defect density , create an organization baseline and the baseline characteristics of the quality and normal quality prediction function . Significance of this thesis lies in the field of software project management for the practical problems of a careful analysis of the implementation of measures proposed defect method, and apply it to the practice of the project , in order to improve project process capability and reduce management costs , improve product quality ; addition, the paper also pointed out that the current mainstream defect management tools to measure the defect deficiencies in the areas , and through the company's EDS system defects metric function of the realization of defect management tools provide a solution to further improve .
