Abstract


Under the background of the 50th anniversary Celebration of Huaqiao University, this paper give a comprehensive analysis of the characteristics of celebration activities, and proposes the application of project management ideas and methods to manage the subject of celebration activities. Through analysis, the paper argues that celebration activities as a project has its unique characteristics. The celebration of planning and implementation process reflects the characteristics of the long preparatory period and the short implementation process. According to the characteristics of the project, the article makes celebration management process divide into two phases: the first stage of the preparatory phase of the project management, mainly for project management; the second phase of the implementation of activities for the anniversary of process control, which is the concrete implementation of the first phase. In the specific analysis of the first phase, by use of the project management feasibility analysis theory, this paper first analyzes the feasible factors of the Celebration decision-making and feasibility factors for the proposed the project management aim of the celebration. According to the target, using WBS decomposes the concrete work of the celebration activities. According to theory of techniques and methods about the project management, organization management, schedule management, quality management, risk management, and cost management, organization chart of the Celebration is made correspondingly, including project schedule Gantt chart and so on. On this basis, we give the process control method of second phase of the celebration project implementation. After the end of the celebration activities, we evaluate the effects of the project, introducing fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, building the evaluation model of celebration effect, evaluating the celebration effects, giving the evaluation methods and evaluation criteria.On the basis of theory, this article states the new practice that is used in the 50th anniversary of Huaqiao University as an example, analyzing the use of project management theory in the celebration of Huaqiao University, at last, evaluating the effect of this celebration by use of fuzzy comprehensive evaluation and putting out the outcome. It shows that after the use of new project management method, the effect of the 50th anniversary is very positive, which realizes the purpose of this celebration basically.
