Abstract


Objective:To investigate the value of tumor markers changes in evaluating therapeutic effect of Gefitinib in advanced NSCLC patients.methods:To detect the serum level of CEA、CA125、Cyfra21-1 and NSE in forty patients with StageⅢB～ⅣNSCLC who were given the treatment of Iressa by Chemiluminescence method. Then retest once every two months after the treatment until disease progression in patients with drug withdrawal.Results:1. The serum CEA, CA125 levels in the desease controlled patients treated by Gefitinib were significantly lower than that before treatment (P<0.05) and were significantly increased in the PD patients (P>0.05). The serum CEA, CA125 levels in the desease controlled patients when they progressed again would increased again.2. Serum Cyfra21-1 and NSE levels did not change significantly before and after treatment(P>0.05).3. Compared the serum levels of tumor markers in each group before and after treatment, the change of the serum CEA level in different groups were significant differente (P<0.05).Conclusion:To detect the serum Tumor markers level could help to evaluate the therapic effect of Gefitinib for advanced NSCLC patients, whith has some clinical value. And the level of CEA before targeted therapy can be used as an indicator to predict the efficacy of Gefitinib.
