Abstract


Crises are inevitable during the growth of enterprises, and the crises may occur at any time. No corporation will never encounter a crisis. In the face of crises, some enterprises failed just like dominoes,while some got more powerful because of good jobs in the crisis public relations. It becomes a big challenge of enterprises to find opportunities in a crisis and reduce the risk of harm to them.There are five chapters in this paper. The first chapter introduces the background and research significance of this paper, defines some relevant concepts and put forward the research thinking and structure. Chapter 2 reviews the definition of crisis and crisis management, describes the development process of crisis public relations of China and relevant theories of enterprises crisis management. The paper’s research method, including main ideas of Content Analysis, analytical framework of this study and rule of encoding, is presented in the third chapter. Chapter IV details and discusses the research results, including a descriptive analysis of enterprise samples, the success rate of crisis public relations, the replying principle and corresponding effectiveness, the way of dealing with crisis, dealing with of different kinds of enterprises of the crisis nature of, different reasons for accidents approach and relevant results of different types of enterprises. Chapter 5 discusses the management enlightenment from the conclusion of this study, and brings forward the limitation of this paper and the future research directions.This study selected 100 crisis public relations cases about 76 large enterprises in China (including the three-capital enterprises, state-owned enterprises and private enterprises) as the samples of Content Analysis. The following conclusions are drawn in this study: shouldering the responsibility is the best and most effective approach to resolve the crisis public relations; from the crisis public relations point of view, the current public relations crisis in domestic enterprises is not yet mature, such as transnational corporations. In the motivation, behavior and organizations strategy of crisis public relations, the domestic enterprises and multinational corporations are basically the same, but these is a big gap in the implementation of the strategy.
