Abstract


Interpersonal Interactivity, also named as Interpersonal Interactive capability, is a kind of mental ability which is needed and expressed in the process of interdependent communication activities. In this process, individuals adjust themselves, or change the communicative environment and other people to meet their communication needs and to achieve the communication goal of keeping a harmonious relationship between themselves and other people. In the review of some relevant theories both abroad and at home, this paper made a systematic discussion and exploration on the structure and measure of college students’ interpersonal interactive capability by means of a series of methods such as content analysis, open questionnaire survey, in-depth interview, scale compilation, etc. The results indicated that,(1) The Interpersonal Interactive capability of college students is composed of six dimensions:strain capacity, coordinate capacity, self-improvement capacity, self-examination capacity, relation orientation capacity, and altruism capacity.(2) The reliability and validity of the self-compiled college students’ interpersonal interactive capability scale is satisfactorily fine.(3) On the whole, college students’ interpersonal interactive capability is fairly reasonable. Factors as gender, grade, major, and whether or not the only children of the family significantly influence their interpersonal interactive capability.(4) College students’ interpersonal interactive capability has significant relations with emotional intelligence and general Well-Being, especially its coefficient of correlation with emotional intelligence is high.(5) Dimensions of college students’ interpersonal interactive capability have positive predictive effect on their emotional intelligence; however interpersonal sensitivity has negative predictive effect. Altruism capacity and self-improvement capacity can positively predict general Well-Being, and interpersonal sensitivity, interpersonal annoyance of talking with others, interpersonal annoyance of making friends, interpersonal annoyance of getting along with opposite gender have negative effect.(6)There are two distinctly significant effective paths to general Well-Being:one is via emotional intelligence, interpersonal interactive capability indirectly affects general Well-Being; the other is via interpersonal annoyance, interpersonal interactive capability has indirect effect on general Well-Being.
