Nowadays, innovation is increasingly becoming the symbol of the liberation and development of social productive forces and determining the development process of a country and a nation. In the areas of innovation, technological innovation has been playing an irreplaceable role. In particular, with economic development, promoting and accelerating technological innovation has become an important means to further develop economy. In the 21st century, the whole world enters the era of knowledge economy, which increasingly shortens the product life cycle and accelerates the changes in the consumer market. In particular, with the financial crisis’ spreading and proliferating, the technically backward enterprises depending upon the technological development pattern of the technology aquisition, the digestion absorption as well as the imitation innovation meet enormous challenges. Facing the intensely competitive international market, "the enterprise either innovates or dies".Therefore, much attention has been paid to the study on technological innovation by the academic circles, businesses as well as governments of different countries.Firstly, this paper mentions the reason to study the technological innovation model of Qingdao Bright Moon Seaweed Groups, followed by a brief account of the experience and the survey of technological innovation at home and abroad, and also inductively and comparatively studies the concepts of innovation, technological innovation and the characteristics related to technological innovation models, the advantages and disadvantages as well as the problems which should be paid close attention to in the process of practicing them. Secondly, the paper introduces the evolution of technological innovation mode’s process in Qingdao Bright Moon Seaweed Groups, analyses the problems existing under the current technical innovation mode, meanwhile, the guiding ideology and principles the groups should adhere to are put forward. Based on technical innovation standards, methods and procedures and the analysis of the enterprise’s own strength, technical conditions, industry conditions as well as domestic macro-environment, the new innovation mode is established, where the independent innovation combining the main base for cooperation and innovation should be given priority, taking into account imitation composite mode of technological innovation. Finally, around the implementation of technological innovation established, it is recommended that the groups readjust the Technology Center, establish an incentive mechanism related to the new mode and a cooperation and innovation base, readjust the production resources and strengthen marketing.After the introduction to the concept of technological innovation as well as the analysis and comparison about theories of the alternative technological innovation modes, together with the through analysis about problems existing under the current technical innovation mode, the author draws the following conclusions:Firstly, technological Innovation is a kind of business activity which is carried out for the pursuit of sustainable development, and the activity includes two items, one being the research and development of new technologies and new products, the other being the manufacturing and applications of new technologies and new products and great achievement for economic result in the market. Secondly, the choice of technological innovation mode in Qingdao Bright Moon Seaweed Groups should center on the Group’s business strategy and objectives. Thirdly, the technological innovation mode should not be confined to a single one, but should be the composite mode according to the actual situation. Finally, in a given period of time, the focus of technological innovation mode under some business strategy should also be adjusted correspondingly so that the technological innovation can always effectively serve the business strategy.
