Abstract


PLE is the development of social software with the emergence of a new type of learning environment,it’s emphasis is on self learning, exchanging and sharing. It is also emphasizes on learner-centered, highlights the subjectivity and characteristic of learners development.In recent years, some foreign experts have designed online learning environment model of personal learning environment based on their own experience of using social software, but the pertinence of these theoretical model diagrams is poor and narrow; Our national personal learning environment research is on the rise in phase.Some problems of Personal Learning Environment Research give us spaces to innovate. In this paper, it takes literature review, questionnaire, interview, observation, quasi-experimental research study to finish the research:First, in the paper, the author explored the characteristics of independent learning ability of college students, then defined the elements of independent learning ability, by investigating the current situation of college students self-learning , it analyzed the existing problems; Besides doing research on social software, it classified and analyzed the representative software functionality from the perspective of education; The author analyzed theoretical basis for personal learning environment, the existing models and elements of personal learning environment, and doing the investment about graduates’demands of personal learning environment. All these are the foundation of building personal learning environment theoretical model.Second,on the basis of analyzing students self-learning ability, social software, theory and practice of personal learning environment, the author integrates the elements of the students’autonomous learning ability with personal learning environments in this paper, on the guidance of personal learning environments theorical principles and the social software, the author designs the personal learning environment model for college students to meet the requirements of students communities.Third, as a guide of the PLE model, the author uses the social software, Dreamweaver, Apache, Mysql, mashups and other technologies to build practical platform of PLE network. Fourth, according to the experimental results and the problems during the experiment, the author utilizes PLE practical platform to do experiments, and consummates the PLE theoretical model and the platform.
