Abstract


With the development of technology, today’s environmental monitoring activities can take place in an automatic, intelligent, and interactive way at real time. Facing with the water resource scare and serious pollution problems, it is essential to enhance the water-quality control. By the on-line monitoring in water-quality, we can monitor the water quality real-time and remotely, and grasp the situation of main basin in time, such as water quality, pollution incidents and emissions standards. Then, we can provide the water-quality information to the water environmental protection and water pollution prevention.Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), Total Phosphorus (TP) and Total Nitrogen (TN) are three major contaminants in water-quality monitoring. The traditional method of water-quality monitoring uses laboratory testing, it needs a long time to measure, and its operation is complex, which results in disappoint in real-time monitoring. To achieve multi-parameter, continuous, online, rapid detection in water-quality, and reduce the high cost of importing foreign equipment, it makes great sense to manufacture a COD&TP&TN on-line monitoring system.This dissertation introduces the design of multi-parameter on-line monitoring system including monitoring theory, software’s design and realization, and the communication between hardware and software. First of all, this dissertation introduces the theory, methods and the whole hardware architecture of the COD&TP&TN monitoring. Secondly it introduces the software design and the communication design between hardware and software. Finally it introduces the test-process of system’s software, then, gets the analysis of test data.The examination design in water-quality of this monitoring system refers to national standards, which makes the system adapt our country’s environmental condition well, and raise the efficiency of system’s using. The examination design in COD, TP and TN refers to the national standards such as“HJ/T 191-2005 Standard”,“GB/T 11893-89 Standard”and“GB/T 11894-89 Standard”.This monitoring system uses the automatic control technology, automatic measuring technology and computer technology, and has high stability, compatibility, and good scalability. This monitoring system has a strong applicability that can monitor other water-quality parameters after modifying the system’s software appropriately.
