Abstract

Objective: Bone tissue engineering scaffolds should have a certain mechanical strength. In the new bone tissue has its own mechanical strength before the material must maintain a certain mechanical strength , not only to provide support for the new tissue , while also the mechanical strength of the human bone match. Determined by a variety of inorganic active element scaffolds (IESM) mechanical strength, evidence of their good mechanical strength , suitable for clinical mandibular defects repaired. Methods: Determination of inorganic nano-indentation active elements scaffold elastic modulus and other mechanical properties . By stretching , compression , bending compared with test results . Results: measured by nanoindentation inorganic active element scaffold modulus of elasticity of 5.8-7.9GPa, hardness of 400-920MPa. And the other three values ??measured by the method without significantly different. Conclusion: nanoindentor very accurate measurement of inorganic active element scaffold mechanical strength and other mechanical properties. Inorganic elements induced bone tissue engineering scaffold material has good mechanical strength, is a potential to build high-quality bone tissue engineering scaffolds .
