Abstract


Aesthetic autonomy is a central concept in modern Western aesthetics . In this paper, through the investigation of the history of aesthetics , combing the course of development of the theory of aesthetic autonomy , as well as showing the rich connotation in this process ; thus summary and analysis of the main features of aesthetic self-discipline and the main problems of the theory of internal , trying to Western aesthetic theory of self-discipline to make a more comprehensive elaboration and analysis, and hope that further study of the issues related to a certain reference value . Introductory part for the concept of aesthetic autonomy before the idea of aesthetic autonomy of Western aesthetics are summarized , including the ancient Greek and medieval art theory of self-regulation ideology and British empirical aesthetics of \. The first part of the 18th century , 19th century aesthetic theory of self-regulation of the establishment and development of the sort . Including the aesthetics of Kant laid the foundation stone of the theory of aesthetic self-discipline , self-discipline Schiller 's aesthetic theory , Schopenhauer aesthetic contemplation theory and romanticism, aestheticism thought the aesthetic concept of self-discipline . The second part discusses the aesthetic theory of self-discipline in the first half of the 20th century, the development and evolution . The pinnacle of the development of the aesthetic theory of self-discipline is the aesthetics of formalism , this part of the major schools including the British-style aesthetics , Russian Formalism , New Criticism . Then, the paper mainly discussed by Adorno and Marcuse sociological connotation of the theory of the Frankfurt School of aesthetic autonomy . In the third part through the Historical Survey of aesthetic self-regulation theory , this paper summarizes the basic characteristics of aesthetic autonomy , unique aesthetic experience , the freedom of the aesthetic object form of disinterested aesthetic attitude , aesthetic activities , beyond the five aspects of aesthetic value . In the fourth section , we explore the aesthetic theory of self-discipline inherent problem from two angles of aesthetic self-discipline and self-discipline contradiction \
