With the rapid development of China 's economy and the timber industry , the demand for timber growing , and our belonging to the timber resource-poor countries , a serious shortage of supply of long-standing domestic timber , the more prominent the contradiction between supply and demand , the widening gap between supply and demand . This article is based on the case of a serious shortage of domestic timber resources , timber resources get to study in order to ease the domestic timber supply and demand, security , stability, and provide a theoretical basis for timber resources . Article First, access to timber resources at home and abroad were reviewed , pointed out that the current domestic and international research less involved in the field , and then pointed out the contradiction between supply and demand of domestic timber , through the establishment of an econometric model , a quantitative analysis of the gap between supply and demand for wood and forecast, the empirical analysis of the gap between supply and demand way make up for timber resources . The article points out that the way to address the gap between supply and demand , full use of both domestic and international markets and resources : First, based on the domestic accelerate the plantation nurture ; saving alternative to wood and recycled ; resource allocation in the international market , direct import effective solution to short-term timber supply and demand , but face great instability , and therefore to develop a wide range of international timber resources and multinational operations . Finally, the full-text analysis , from the three levels of government, industry associations , enterprises put forward policy recommendations . The innovation of this paper is to use econometric models to quantitative analysis and prediction of the timber supply and demand gap , an empirical analysis of the way to make up for the gap between supply and demand of wood .
